What is Wingfoiling?

What is Wingfoiling?

Wingfoiling is the fastest-growing water sport in Australia, and once you try it, you’ll understand why. You hold a lightweight inflatable wing, stand on a board with a hydrofoil underneath, and use the wind to glide, carve and fly above the water.

It’s the perfect mix of surfing, sailing and foiling, and it’s far more accessible than it looks. If you can stand on a paddleboard, you can learn to wingfoil. Our lessons on the Central Coast and in Lake Macquarie will have you riding sooner than you’d think.

Wingfoil Lessons for Every Level

Complete Beginners

Never wingfoiled before? No worries. Most of our students haven't. We start with land-based wing handling so you feel confident before you even hit the water. You'll learn how to control the wing, get up on the board, and start gliding in your very first lesson.

Intermediate Riders

Already comfortable on the board and want to step it up? Our intermediate wingfoil lessons focus on water starts, riding upwind, tacking, gybing, and transitioning onto the foil. This is where wingfoiling goes from fun to addictive.

Advanced Riders

Chasing bigger moves? Our advanced wingfoiling coaching covers foil control, jumping, wave riding, and efficiency on the water. We'll help you refine your technique and push into new territory.

Why Learn to Wingfoil?

Wingfoiling is one of the most versatile water sports going. You don’t need massive wind, big waves, or years of experience to enjoy it. A light breeze, flat water, and a bit of determination is all it takes.

It’s low impact, easy on the body, and once you’re up on the foil, the feeling of silent speed across the water is unlike anything else. Whether you’re looking for a new weekend hobby, a way to get fitter, or something that genuinely excites you, wingfoiling ticks every box.

The Central Coast and Lake Macquarie are ideal places to learn, with flat-water lagoons, consistent breezes, and sheltered spots perfect for building your confidence.
